Hey, first things first: thank you for choosing Bond Touch! Welcome aboard!

Bond Touch 4 is an emotional wearable that allows you to send touches to your partner through a bracelet.

To use your brand new Bond Touch 4, you have to complete these steps:

The bracelets are connected to each other via the Bond Touch app. So make sure your device is compatible with the Bond Touch app (it works on most iOS and Android smartphones but do check this link).

Before you can start sending and receiving touches, you have to connect your Bond Touch 4 to your smartphone via Bluetooth. Once that’s done, your touches will be transferred over mobile data or Wi-Fi.

For the best possible experience, we recommend you disable Low Power Mode and Do not Disturb.

Step 1 - Charge my bracelet

Your bracelet may not be fully charged when it reaches you, so charge your Bond Touch 4 before you use it. You can plug the charger into a computer, a USB power adapter, or a power bank.

While charging, the module lights will blink white. The first time you charge it, these lights may take a few minutes to appear. When fully charged, the lights will turn constant white.

Step 2 - Download the app

Download the Bond Touch app from the App Store or Google Play Store, depending on your device. You can click the links above to go there, or just search “Bond Touch” on your favorite app store.

Step 3 - Login

Before you start, make sure your Bond Touch is with 10 ft (3 m) of your phone.

Enable Bluetooth on your phone and make sure you are connected to Wi-Fi or a mobile network.

We start the in-app setup by adding a few details that identify you and your account, namely your email and date of birth.

The email helps authenticate your account. A link will be sent to the email address you provide. Please make sure to open the email on the same mobile phone, which ensures that only you are signing into your account.

We require your date of birth to confirm if you're below or above our age limits for consent: You'll need to be above the age of 13 (in the US) or 16 (in the rest of the world) in order to use our services without the requirement of parental consent.

If below these ages, we'll just ask a bit more information to send a consent form to your parent or guardian for approval.

Step 4 - Create your profile

Open the Bond Touch app and follow the instructions to create your profile. You’ll be asked to enter your username and select a profile picture.

Step 5 - Connect your bracelet to the Bond Touch app

When you’re done creating your account, hit the "Let's Go" button to enter the Connection step.

Next, secure the Bond Touch 4 bracelet to your wrist, confirm that Bluetooth is on and then we'll start searching for the nearest Bond Touch bracelet to your phone. Keep in mind that you must allow the Bond Touch app to use your smartphones Bluetooth as the system permissions screens show on your phone.

Once we find your bracelet, the app will ask that you double tap your bracelet to confirm it's yours. The app will show "Bracelet Found!" if this happens successfully.

Now you can choose a color for yourself! This color will show up on your Bond Touch 4 when you’re sending a touch and on your partner’s module when they receive it. Similarly, when you receive a touch, your module will light up in the color your partner has chosen.

After this, we'll need a few more permissions to successfully send and receive touch messages through the app, depending on operating system.

Step 6 - Add my partner

All that's left before being able to use your Bond Touch 4 bracelet is to add your partner.

When arriving to the Bond Touch App Dashboard, you'll find a large button in asking to "add your partner".

Tap that button, and enter your partner's email.

You and your partner both need to pick each other: that way our server will be able to bond you, and you’ll be able to start connecting.

Step 7 - Test your bracelet

While you wait for your partner to accept your invitation, you can start using your bracelet, to get used to it.

Remember: the app needs to be running on the background of your phone at all times!
