How location sharing works in Presence +

Understand what Presence + shares, how it works, and who controls location sharing in the Bond Touch app.

Here’s everything you need to know about how Presence + location sharing works — what’s shared, when, and who can see it.

Getting started with Presence +

When you first open Presence +, you’ll be asked to choose a subscription plan:

  • Monthly — 7-day free trial, then $4.99/month

  • Annual — 7-day free trial, then $29.99/year

  • Lifetime — one‑time purchase: $69.99

Once you’ve subscribed, you can invite your partner and start adding Saved Places together.

What information is shared?

When location sharing is enabled, your partner can see your real‑time location on a map inside the Bond Touch app. This is based on your device’s precise location (latitude and longitude).

Your location is shared only with your paired partner — it’s never visible to Bond Touch staff, third parties, or advertisers.

What Presence + does not do

  • It does not store or display a timeline of where you’ve been.

  • It does not track or display your route between locations.

  • Your precise location data is not stored beyond your active sharing session, except as temporarily needed to operate the feature.

Who controls location sharing?

Each person controls their own sharing independently. You choose when to share, and you can turn it off at any time — directly from the Presence + section in the app.

Your partner cannot enable location sharing on your behalf. You’ll always need to turn it on yourself.

Do both of us need to have sharing enabled?

Yes — sharing is mutual. You can each choose when to share, but to see each other’s location (city‑level or precise), both partners need to have sharing turned on. When you pause, you won’t be able to see your partner’s precise location either.

Does Presence + require a subscription?

Yes. Each user needs their own active subscription to access Presence +. You can check the available plans directly in the Bond Touch app, or reach out to our support team for help.

Your privacy

Your precise location is never shared with third parties — it stays between you and your partner. Full details are in our Privacy Policy, including the Presence + Privacy Supplement.

For a summary of your data rights — including how to request deletion — see Presence + – Your privacy & data rights in this Help Center.

Having trouble?

If Presence + isn’t working as expected, here are a few things to try:

  • Check that location permissions are correctly set on your device (see How to set up Presence +).

  • Make sure the Bond Touch app is allowed to run in the background.

  • Restart the app.

If the issue continues, reach out to our team via the chat icon in the app or at [email protected] — we’re glad to help 💜
